Part-Time Guest Experience & Events Coordinator

For our resort, we are looking for a Part-Time Guest Experience & Events Coordinator who will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and hosting our events and guest experiences.

About Oxygen Resort

In this hybrid role, you will be the face and voice of our events. You host activities on location, prepare concepts, and coordinate with both internal and external parties. You are visible during events and also work remotely on preparation, concept development, and coordination.

The resort already hosts recurring events such as Trivia Nights, Movie Nights, and sports events. In addition, several additional activities are already planned. In this role, you will be responsible for further developing, coordinating, and executing these initiatives, as well as creating additional events that align with the concept and experience of the resort.

In the future, you will also act as the functional manager of our Event Center, where you will be responsible for the content and operational use of these facilities.

What will you do?

Act as host and MC during events (minimum of 2 events per month)
– Contribute ideas for, develop, and prepare event and experience concepts
– Shape programs that fit the resort’s experience and atmosphere
– Coordinate and guide activities and events on location
– Support and represent the resort at external events and activities
– Manage the functional use of the Event Center in relation to event and activity planning
– Coordinate scheduling, setup, and use of these facilities
– Identify opportunities for improvement related to guest experience, usage, and functionality of event spaces
– Coordinate with internal teams and external partners
– When necessary, drive the resort bus to external activities (e.g., market visits, walks, and jogging events).

What do you bring?

– Strong communication skills and comfort acting as an MC/host
– Good command of Dutch and English (spoken proficiency required)
– Creative, social, and strong organizational skills
– Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively remotely
– Flexible availability (including evenings and/or weekends for events)
– A valid driver’s license (required for external activities)
– Affinity with hospitality, lifestyle, sports, community, and Surinamese history is a plus
– Attention to atmosphere, organization, and the functional use of spaces
– Availability of approximately 50 hours per month.
